About Us – Woodhouse International

Woodhouse International (WI) was established in Dubai in the UAE in 1985. Previously the company’s strict focus was holding stock & resale of oilfield drilling equipment. Today we have expanded our existing distribution network through the addition of a workshop to encompass after sales service & manufacturing. The new direction is of course totally supported by our principals through inventory, sales, engineering support & training.

The Middle East continues to be a main focus of activity, which from our base in the Jebel Ali Free zone we service fully calling regularly on all clients in the GCC, as well as those further afield.

Woodhouse International is a stand-alone company, wholly owned by Tim Percy, with our main office in the Jebel Ali Free Zone (Dubai) in the United Arab Emirates. We retain a representative office in Baghdad, Iraq to cover the market there.

In August 2010, we moved to our brand new purpose built facility in the Jebel Ali Free Zone. This comprises 2,000SqMtrs prime warehouse, & 1,200SqMtrs of first class office space. These headquarters are staffed by 40 people, and are managed by expatriate personnel with significant experience in all aspects of drilling equipment sales, purchasing, warehousing and business development.

During the first quarter of 2015 our new workshop facility was added, comprising a state of the art 1,320 sq/mtr air conditioned repair facility with 800 sq/mtr workshop floor space, CNC lathe, offices, laboratory & training area. This will enhance after sales service & repair to our existing distribution network.

The management and staff of Woodhouse strive to seek improvement by constant review with suppliers and sub-contractors being encouraged to co-operate. The Quality Policy of Woodhouse is accountable for fully satisfying our customers by meeting their needs and expectations with best-in- class solutions and services by the use of quality procedures to meet ISO 9001:2015 and other applicable requirements. In addition, Woodhouse also has an API Q1 certified state of the art Machine Shop facility for manufacture, repair and service of Rotary Drill Stem Elements.

GEOGRAPHICAL COVERAGE

Our geographical coverage is extensive. We continue to focus on servicing our client base in the Gulf Region, comprising UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Yemen, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Iraq/Kurdistan. However, given the nature of our business & our ready supply of critical items, we often get calls for parts from outside the area.

EXPERTISE

Our strength has always been through a strict focus on drilling equipment only. Whilst for specific projects we can offer all-encompassing contractual agreements, we remain very specialized. Management & staff at Woodhouse International offer technical assistance in respect of most major & minor drilling equipment purchases. WARRANTY & INVENTORY

Woodhouse Internationals strength has always been the equipment that we carry in inventory. We only deal in new & unused equipment, which is supported 100% by the original manufacturer in terms of warranty, documentation, & after sales service. In many cases, our unique relationship and influence with manufacturers, coupled to the wide range of product we cover, enables us to offer superior “packages” of equipment that are both more commercially attractive to the end user, as well as being available on an ex stock basis.
